Clouded Brindle Apamea epomidion, a new species for the garden. However, the oval is elongated and run into a blurred kidney mark, producing a quite striking pattern. Not unusual in this species, judging by the number of similar images on the web.
Marbled Beauty Cryphia domestica is the only Cryphia species i've recorded in the garden. It has occured in modest numbers every year since i started trapping, but always the grey-green form with little variation. This morning, well as several of the form usually seen here, there was an attractive yellow-green variant in the trap.

The first Dark Spectacle Abrostola triplasia for the garden. According to the Waring/Lewington guide, this species prefers areas with acidic soils. Unexpected on the calcareous, clay-ridden alkaline stuff around CB1.

Early Thorn Selenia dentariaThorns are scarce here (less than ten individuals of just two species in 5 years), so this was really nice to see. Came to light early, before 21:30h.
